Since when is anti-abortion "Conservative"

If "conservative" is the preservation of the status quo, being pro-life is a radical departure.  In the old days there were "Radical Republicans" who were strongly opposed to slavery.  Since pro-life is not part of either the Republican or Democrat party's political DNA, we should not confuse pro-life with conservatism, which really means right rather than left on the political spectrum.

Take, for example, how the "Pro-choice" argument is framed compared to how it is actually implemented.  Chants of "keep your rosaries off my ovaries" frame pro-choice as a freedom of religion matter.  In fact, what the white women who promote "pro-choice" are actually doing is demanding government support of abortion clinics in African American neighborhoods to enforce genocide against the African Americans in the U.S.  Since 1921 when the ABCL (the parent of Planned Parenthood) was founded, the Sangerites have worked to eliminate African Americans, especially African American men, from the population, and enslaving African American women as sexless, non-reproductive servants to their cause.  "Pro-life" has resulted in the re-enslavement of Black America.

Opposition to the pro-choice abortionists is a radical, not a conservative stand to take.  It is based in the fundamental belief in the equality of humanity and the right of human kind to life--which is NOT the status quo in today's America.

Copy Windows PC Outlook address book to Mac Entourage

Our business is upgrading from Dell PCs based on Windows XP/Vista/7 to MacBook Pros.  We made the decision due to the high usage of Macs by our staff at home and the problems we have administering the various versions of Vista that came with the computers we purchased.  As there is only one version of OS X that is current at any time, it has been an easy transition.

Before one week ago, I had NO experience with Macs.  None.  I had run Linux systems maybe 15 years ago.  But with no experience, with very little effort I now have our Macs fully on line with our Windows Server 2003 server, and have all server data automatically synchronizing with the Macs so that the server data is on the Macs during travel. (Cloud computing is great.)

The big problem was Microsoft Office for Mac doesn't allow importing of PST files from our Office Outlook files.  It took me days to figure out how to get the contact list to Entourage.

Here is how:

1.  Sync the Outlook files to an iPhone or iPod.
2.  Sync the iPhone or iPod to the Mac.  Now the contacts are in the Mac address book.
3.  Open Entourage. Open "Preferences".  You can do this from the menu bar or [command][,].
4.  Click "sync services".
5.  Select the check box "Synchronize contacts with Address Book and MobileMe

Pow!  the contacts move to Entourage.

 What does this have to do with the often quoted Bible verse, Exodus 22:18?

In the time of Exodus, there were no "witches" as we think of them today.  There were no old hags with warted noses and pointed black hats riding broomsticks.  What the word "witch" refers to is the ancient Hebrew word casaph which literally translates "poisoner."  A poisoner was someone who used naturally found substances or concoctions to secretly kill, injure, or control other people.  This is the origin of the mythology behind witches brewing a potion in a cauldron, and what led to the translation of this word to "witch" in the 17th century.  (An excellent description of this kind or witchcraft is found in the book The Serpent and the Rainbow by Wade Davis.)

Illegal drugs are poisons.  They are also big business for the poisoners who create and sell them.  Opiates, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other drugs create their own demand by creating addiction, which is a physical and psychological dependence brought about by the drug itself.  Also, many narcotics produce tolerance in the addict, requiring more and more as time goes by.

Blaming the addict for drug use is bad science and leads to bad policies.  Addicts are not evil people: they are normal people whose lives have been taken over by a poison. 

Mrs. Clinton: the U.S. is not to be blamed for our people being poisoned, but the poisoners--the drug dealers--are.  Do your job and keep them from crossing our borders!

Our responsibility as Americans is to see that our government does everything it can to stop the dealers from bringing their poisons into the U.S., using lethal force if necessary, and to rehabilitate the victims of the foreign and domestic poisoners.

Racist, bigoted liberal abortionists

In the U.S., 22 percent of pregnancies end in abortion.  But 52% of African-American pregnancies end in abortion.  Why?

The Abortion Industry deliberately builds its "clinics" in African-American neighborhoods.  Why?

Abortion kills more black people than the seven leading causes of death combined (heart disease, cancer, strokes, accidents, diabetes, homicide, and chronic lower respiratory diseases).  Why?

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, stated:  "we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."  Black Christian ministers have been duped in to supporting the genocide of African-American children.  Why?

Your government, your President, a Black man, promotes the killing of unborn children, and your President promotes the killing of children who survive the abortionists blade.  Why?

Yes, there have always been Baptist ministers on the wrong side of history and God's law.  The Baptists split in the 1800s because so many of them believed that slave-holding was a "God-given right."

These Baptists do not worship the God of the Bible.

Look at the picture below and tell me that that act was a God given right.  Tell me where in the Bible God gives you the right to do this, Carlton.

How to change the startup sound for Windows 7

I just installed Windows 7 and I am pleased.  It has run all day without a problem.

Back in the old days of Windows 98 I used to have my own sound ("Greetings") when I started windows.  The capability to customize the startup sound is not there in windows 7:  you can either use the default windows startup sound (cling-cling, cling-cling) or no sound at all.

So, I searched the web.

What you need to know is that this is a  hack, and if you screw your computer up, it's your problem, O.K.?  If you want to continue, know that you could really mess things up: you do so at your own risk.   This worked for me, but I take no responsibility for errors or omissions.  This is the web, right?


If you are new at registry hacks, PRACTICE ON A COMPUTER YOU DON"T CARE ABOUT FIRST.

First, you need to find the file that controls the windows startup sound.  It is called "imageres.dll" and it is found in the windows directory.  In my computer it was:


   C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll

Next, you need to change the ownership of this file.  This file cannot be overwritten or modified without ownership, so I used these instructions:

Next, you need a file that allows you to edit the dll file.  I downloaded that from

After I unzipped ResHack, I ran it as an Administrator.  I then opened the imageres.dll file, made a copy of the original in to safe place, and then opened the file again in the system32 folder.

I expanded WAVE and 5080 as shown, and there is a resource called 1033.

If you click on Play WAVE you will hear the windows startup sound.

The next step is to right click on the resource 1033, and select "Replace Resource"

You will see this menu:

 Click on "Open File With New Resource" and navigate to a .wav file of your choice.

(In this example I am using a file called "alerted.wav")

 

Click on "Open", then put "WAVE" in as the resource type, "5080" (or whatever number that folder is labeled) is as Resource Name., and "1033" or whatever number is indicated as Resource Language.

Click "Replace". Then save in the original location and quit ResHack.

Right click on your desktop, select Personalize from the menu, click on Sounds, and check the Play Windows Startup sound and click "Apply".

When you restart, it should work,  if not, ask someone who knows what they are doing for help.

Comments:  Some people commented that they could not get this to work.  You need to run ResHack as an administrator, or else you won't get it to work.  Also, I received some comments obviously written by a child.  If you are a child playing with your parents computer, don't do this!

If you have trouble saving the changes, it is because you didn't take ownership of the .dll.  The child that posted a comment that this couldn't be done obviously omitted this step.  More detailed instructions are below.

How to Take Ownership in Windows 7

1. Locate the file or folder on which you want to take ownership in windows explorer

2. Right click on file or folder and select “Properties” from Context Menu

3. Click on Security tab

4. Click on “Advanced”

5. Now click on Owner tab in Advance Security Settings for User windows

6. Click on Edit Button and select user from given Change Owner to list if user or group is not in given list then click on other users or groups. Enter name of user/group and click ok.

8. Now select User/group and click apply and ok. (Check “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” if you have files and folder within selected folder)

9. Click ok when Windows Security Prompt is displayed

10. Now Owner name must have changed.

11. Now click Ok to exist from Properties windows

Once you have taken the ownership of file or folder next part comes is Granting Permissions to that file/folder or object.

How to Grant Permissions in Windows 7

1. Locate the file or folder on which you want to take ownership in windows explorer

2. Right click on file or folder and select “Properties” from Context Menu

3. Click on Edit button in Properties windows Click ok to confirm UAC elevation request.

4. Select user/group from permission windows or click add to add other user or group.

5. Now under Permission section check the rights which you want to grant i.e check “Full Control” under the “Allow” column to assign full access rights control permissions to Administrators group.

6. Click Ok for changes to take effect and click ok final ok to exit from Properties window.

Safer, Cheaper Nuclear Power: The Nuclear Cigar

What is a traveling wave reactor and why should I care?

Readers of this blog are familiar with the potential nuclear proliferation problems of both uranium reactors and plutonium reactors.  As a quick summary, natural uranium is mostly an isotope called U238 which cannot sustain a chain reaction nor make a bomb.  To make a uranium reactor you need to "enrich" the uranium, that is, remove some of the U238 so that the concentration of U235, the uranium that works in reactors (and bombs) is increased.  The problem is that the same technology that can be used to make nuclear fuel can also make nuclear bombs.  (Iran is doing this now.)

Another fuel for bombs is Plutonium239, which can be produced in a standard nuclear reactor, and then separated out chemically from the uranium and other materials in the fuel.  It is easier to make P239 in a reactor than to separate U235 from natural uranium, but it is harder to make a working bomb.  (North Korea is taking this approach.)

P239 makes a good fuel for power generation, and it can be produced from U238, the non-fuel isotope of uranium.

Imagine a cigar made from moist tobacco leaves.  The leaves will not burn unless they are dried first.  If you light one end of the cigar with a match, the heat of the burning leaves will dry the unburned leaves and ignite them as the cigar burns from one end to the other, leaving ash behind.

A newly proposed powerplant design called a "traveling wave reactor" works like a nuclear cigar.  The cigar is a tube of unenriched uranium, mostly U238.  A little U235 acts as a match at one end to produce neutrons that will change the U238 to U239, which decays in two steps, first to neptunium and then to plutonium.  The plutonium acts as a fuel for the reactor and produces power and more neutrons that continue the process of producing new fuel from the inert U238 down the tube.  The reaction, like the glowing tip of the cigar, travels down the tube over time, leaving reaction products (spent fuel), behind and producing more fuel from the unenriched uranium.  This is the "traveling wave" reaction.


This reactor, once started, does not produce easily accessible plutonium that can be diverted to bomb making (it is very easy to tell if an operating reactor has been shut down, and if the nuclear cigar is shut down it indicates either an operational problem or a potential plutonium diversion.)  Also, the reactor only needs a small amount of enriched uranium to act as a match.  All the enriched uranium required for every reactor in the world could come from one enrichment facility.


Finally, the reactor, once started, would burn all its fuel over a period of 50 years or so, meaning no re-fueling "outages" a great cost item to nuclear reactors.  Also, the nuclear waste stays in the reactor, eliminating the need for short term storage of spent fuel over the life time of the reactor.


Nuclear power is our best possible option for clean, inexpensive energy to power the economic growth for future generations, and the nuclear cigar is one possible way to make it safe and simple.

This is no surprise to anyone that pays attention. There is no need for the additional centrifuges possessed by Iran except for the production of nuclear weapons. Don't deny that.

Racism and Government Opposition

Jimmy Carter, a man I greatly admire, has stuck his foot in the poop:

"I think people who are guilty of that kind of personal attack against Obama have been influenced to a major degree by a belief that he should not be president because he happens to be African American.

"It's a racist attitude, and my hope is and my expectation is that in the future both Democratic leaders and Republican leaders will take the initiative in condemning that kind of unprecedented attack on the president of the United States..."

The personal attack he is describing is:

"When a radical fringe element of demonstrators and others begin to attack the president of the United States as an animal or as a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler..."

Now I don't think Obama is an animal or a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, but I do think that Mr. Carter has missed the mark. Many people of his age, and many professional politicians, are quick to blame racism. I understand that for them racism still exists. But many other people, mostly younger people, I suppose, have grown up learning that we do not judge by the color of skin but by the content of character. This is the great lesson of Martin Luther King.

I do oppose Obama, and although I don't think he is the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, I am really unhappy with his approach to government and its similarity National Socialist Workers Party and other totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. Government takeovers, abortions, the thugs at ACORN all point to discredited governments in history, and I don't want to see America make the same mistakes.

Opposition to the Government is not racist because the head of state is of a different race than someone who might oppose him. That thinking is also a failed and discredited world view from the past. Let us judge by the content of character and the results, not the skin color, Mr. Carter.

Obama is wrong

First, I hate racism. I detest it in all forms.

Here is what Obama said:

"But I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry," Obama said. "No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And No. 3 -- what I think we know separate and apart from this incident -- is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that's just a fact."

In 1985 I was caught by a police officer standing next to a car trying to open the door while the alarm was wailing. Very suspicious. I showed my ID, explained that it was my employer's car, and showed him a pay stub to show I worked at the company where to car was located. I told him I didn't know how the alarm system worked, so although it looked bad, I had a reason to be there and was doing no wrong. The cop had me wait sitting down while he made a call to check the facts, came back and handed me my ID and wished me a nice evening.
I was not angry. The cop did not act stupidly, and since I am not African-American or Latino, but was stopped, Obama's number 3 doesn't hold either.

If a situation is suspicious should Obama's police ignore the situation if the people involved are African-American or Latino, and only investigate if they are European-American? That's racism.

Happy Roe Day. How cruel can you be?

Today we celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, which turned out to be the cruelest Supreme Court decision in U.S. history, even worse than Dred Scott v. Sandford.
Our new President fully promotes the killing of unwanted unborn children for no reason other than unwanted children are inconvenient. Just as the Nazis decided that Jews were not people who deserved rights, our country has decided that unborn children are not people and can be killed at will, and for the profit of government supported enterprises like Planned Parenthood.

On Tuesday we celebrated the inauguration of the first black U.S. President, who supports the racist policies of Planned Parenthood and their selective killing off of black unborn children. (Over one third of the children killed by abortion are black, and yet only 12 percent of America's population is black.) Your President's promotion of the killing of unborn children is wiping out the future of African Americans. Since 1973 there have been 13 million black children killed before birth in America.

Today I read in the paper a news article about "cruelty free vegan shoes" now available. On the same page was a advertisement taken out by Planned Parenthood and their co-profiteers celebrating the anniversary of the commercial abortion industry. At the same time our society celebrates cruelty free shoes, and the cruel murder of unborn children for money. Do you feel good about that?

Moving closer to a bomb for Iran

"An International Atomic Energy Agency report confirmed Iran's refusal to heed Security Council demands to freeze uranium enrichment and stated that the Islamic republic has enriched about 630 kilograms of low-enriched uranium suitable for nuclear fuel. Some analysts contend that the amount is enough to upgrade into a nuclear weapon."

What is low-enriched uranium and how can you make a bomb from it?

Natural uranium is about 0.7% U-235, 99.4% U-238 and the balance U-234. It is the U-235 that is capable of sustaining a nuclear chain reaction, necessary for making a bomb. In fact, U-235 is the only naturally occurring isotope that can sustain a nuclear chain reaction. But the 0.7% content of natural uranium is loo low a concentration for making a bomb. The percentage has to be increased using a method such as a centrifuge, to a level much higher, at least 20%. The graph below shows the kilograms of uranium needed to make a chain reaction vs the amount of enrichiment. At 6 percent the amount is infinite. At 20%, 400 kg will do it. At 80 % a few kg is more than enough. Low-enriched uranium is that which is less than 20% enriched. Well on its way to bomb-grade, but not practical for making a bomb. If the Iranian LEU is 10% U-235, continued refining will give enough to make at least one bomb.

Your Government: Are you proud of America?

As of the inauguration of the new administration, all three branches of your government--the executive, legislative, and judicial--will promote the killing of unwanted unborn children. The method of killing these children is generally death by dismemberment, but sometimes it is by inducing labor, allowing the child to be born as far as the feet and torso, but then puncturing the skull from beneath and sucking the brain out.

The diagram shows how an abortionist would kill a baby girl in the process of being born. Once the abortionist punctures her skull, he opens and closes the scissors do do as much destruction of brain tissue as possible and to create a hole into which he can place a tube to suck the little girl's brains out.

Once in a while the baby is born so fast that the abortionist can't get his scissors in fast enough. If that is the case, the live little girl is denied medical treatment and left to die.

This cruelty is promoted by the U.S. Government and is often paid for by tax dollars.

Do you promote this as well?

Wrong Answer, Obama

O.K., Listen up:

"RACE" doesn't really exist. The longer we keep kidding ourselves that it does, the longer racism will exist. No race, no racism.

I learned about racism in Japan. I was discriminated against due to my race there, but the funny thing was that many Japanese discriminated against people who they considered different "races"--Koreans and Chinese--that in America would considered the same race. When I lived in Hongkong I saw the same thing: Chinese considered Japanese to be a different "race".

Clearly race is arbitrary and is clearly decided by the observer. If I decide someone is the same race as I am, they are. If enough people decide that we are all the same race, racism will cease to exist.

Obama, stop recognizing race and racism will cease. You may think I am being too idealistic, but this is the teaching of St. Paul, so if you are a Christian, you need to start thinking like this. In Christ, there is no difference between the any races or nationality: the same Lord is over all.

Dumb question

The stupidest question I have heard come from the abortion industry is this:

"If abortion is illegal, what penalty do you propose for a woman who has one?"

This pre-supposes that the woman who has been bullied into having an abortion is the criminal. Feedom of choice proponents, such as this poster, feel that if women fairly consider what an abortion really is, they would rarely choose one. But the abortion industry is vested in keeping the truth away from the women they rely on for their obscene profits.

The fact is, abortion is cruel, and if an identical method of execution were proposed for the most vicious murderers on death row, it would not be allowed because of its extreme cruelty.

Letter to Gov. Schwarzenegger to stop making the abortion industry rich

Dear Governor Schwarzenegger:

Recently there have been a series of radio advertisements sponsored by Planned Parenthood. These ads are encouraging the listeners to call the Governor's office to urge you to increase the transfer of tax dollars to the abortion industry, which they euphemistically call "reproductive health". They claim that aborting babies saves tax dollars!

This is despite the fact that Planned Parenthood's own annual reports show they are making huge profits from tax money they already receive, and have performed a record 264,943 abortions nationwide in the last year. Taxpayer dollars paid to Planned Parenthood totaled $305,300,000, or $1,153.32 for each abortion performed. (Their revenues amount to $3,407.52 per abortion--more than one third of which is paid with our tax dollars, Governor.) Moreover, they report no referrals to adoption in the last year. They are strictly in the abortion for profit business, and will take money from taxpayers to make their profits.

I respectfully request that no more money be given to the abortion industry.
